Last weekend my two friends Johannes and Kristian visited Zürich at short notice. It was good to have them here and to discuss the latest in economics (Johannes), political history (Kristian), cognitive science and applied nonsense (that’s me). Johannes and I made some big plans I will inform you all about in the next days, so stay tuned.
I enjoy it a lot when it is possible to talk to people about their studies or their job. With lots of folks this isn’t possible, because they don’t feel good about their occupations at all. Fortunately, this is not the case with my friends and so we always get a think tank of diversity “rolling” whenever we gather to discuss current issues from different standpoints. As a student of history, Kristian is great at putting things in a larger time frame and approaching them from that angle, whereas every discussion is enriched by Johannes’ economic insights. For me it’s always a great relief to get to think outside of the brain stuff, while they’re usually very interested in what cognitive science can comment on the topics of their research (false memories in history? Neuroeconomics?)
So yes, it was a great weekend.

Kristin was joining us t0 take a walk around town.
